My Story

I was raised on a farm in Hampshire. While studying Politics & Economics at the University of Olomouc in the Czech Republic my thirst for adventure led me to a ski season in the French Alps. Upon my return to the UK I founded my first business, Meon Valley Barbecues, quickly gaining a reputation for exceptional whole roast pigs and lambs studded with garlic, rosemary & thyme at milestone celebrations like 21st birthdays, weddings, and corporate events.

In 2006, I flew to New Zealand for what I innocently imagined would be a one month jaunt to marry my wonderful Kiwi girlfriend, my wife however had other ideas and we ended up staying for 10 epic years. We had many adventures in life, business and the great Kiwi outdoors, but most importantly I acquired a dying WildTomato, brought it back to life, and expanded it into a marketing company (sadly lockdown killed WildTomato in 2021.)

In 2016 we moved back to the UK with our three (now four) children to launch Tom Parker Creamery from my family’s farm (try it in Waitrose, Sainsbury’s, Ocado, Milk & More or Selfridges.)

Recently, my great mate Hugo Hardman introduced me to the glorious game of padel tennis. And disappointed by the expensive and poorly designed padel gear on the market, we co-founded Planet Padel. Our goal is to provide the UK's fast growing padel community with the world's finest padel kit and apparel.

As someone who absolutely loves the creative process of launching businesses, I find immense satisfaction in aiding other aspiring entrepreneurs and business owners.
